the history of pacific web servicesRalph Abraham, Frank Jas, and Will Russell worked together at UCSC (the University of California at Santa Cruz) for a decade or more. When the WWW came along, they were involved together in building some of the first web sites at UCSC, in early 1994. From this experience came their book on the WEB published in May, 1995 by TELOS. And from this partnership was born pacweb.com in early 1995. Ten years later, Frank and Ralph still operate pacweb.com as a webhost and testbed for xtreme webtech sites. The hardware is colocated in Silicon Valley where bandwidth is infinite and service charges finite. Revised 26 May 2006 by Ralph. |
